There are so many uninhabited beaches and islands stretching across the Kingdom of Tonga, surrounded by clear brilliant blue water. Most of the beaches are virtually untouched, and coupled with salty air and extremely warm water, we senior missionaries find them hard to resist on our Saturdays. Of course we swim in our clothes like the Tongans do! A favorite path leads to Umu beach near the Blowholes: The children from the village of Hoema enjoy a dip at the little beach during their last evening of summer break (January) before school began:

I love photos of the ocean! Yours even LOOK warm from the cold, windy side of the Atlantic that we are on! We're grateful that the ocean is peaceful in its beauty for you now, and that, for a time at least, the storms have abated and your missionary blessings abound. Happy Easter to you both from us in London, with all that it signifies for us, and with our love and prayers and a scripture-chase reference: D&C 104:2.

I ran across your blog on accident, and am so glad that I did! How beautiful Tonga looks! My husband is from Tonga, and although we live in Utah now, our dream is to go back to the island some time. I have never been there, and so any inside look that I get, I cherish. Thank you for your service!
